20 March 2020
We want nothing but the best when it comes to the health and safety of you and your family, our community, our staff and the wellbeing of the people around us.
The Australian Government released a statement earlier this morning announcing there will be a ban on large outdoor gatherings of more than 500 people. The maximum limit for The JLF Trek is 300 people.
However, in light of the impact of the coronavirus on all of our lives we have decided to postpone The JLF Trek SA until 7 & 8 August.
If you are able to participate on these dates:
- You don’t need to notify us
- If you’ve booked accommodation we recommend you contact them immediately
- Information regarding the briefing night will be sent out closer to the date
If you are not able to participate on these dates:
- Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss transferring your registration to The JLF Trek SA 2021 or a refund of your registration fee
- If you’ve booked accommodation we recommend you contact them immediately
In the coming days and weeks we expect more information will be released on terms and conditions to these large outdoor gatherings. We will ensure to keep on top of the relevant information and pass on what we feel is necessary for you to know in terms of your safety on The JLF Treks. All updates will be shared through email, our social channels and the news section on our website www.jlf.eneedev.com
In saying that, we are excited to release the new dates for The JLF Trek SA as this coincides with our 10-year anniversary. The Jodi Lee Foundation officially launched on 10 August 2010. We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate such a milestone with you and our community than joining The JLF Trek SA this August.
Lastly, we would like to say how grateful we are to each and every one of you who registers. The JLF Treks are our signature event and help build awareness about the prevention of bowel cancer. Every year our message gets stronger and louder and this year should be no exception.
Please stay safe and healthy, look out for yourself and the people in your community.
