DR ANDREW MCKAY

Dr Andrew McKay is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League (AFL), playing 244 games for the Carlton Football Club. Andrew’s football achievements include winning the 1995 Grand Final, being named All Australian four times, captaining Carlton in 2003 and winning its Best and Fairest award that same year. 

Since graduating with a Veterinary Science degree from Melbourne University in 2000, Andrew has worked at a number of companion animal practices across Melbourne and is a partner at the Caroline Springs Veterinary Hospital. 

Andrew has also spent time at the Australian Football League running the Tribunal System, as a member of the Laws of the Game Committee and later as Game Analysis Manager looking at the aesthetics and safety of the game. 

More recently Andrew was Head of Football at the Carlton Football Club for eight years.  

Currently, Andrew is GM – Animal Health for Zamira Australia, an Australian animal health business committed to improving the health and wellbeing of animals across the world.  

Andrew has been friends with Jodi Lee Foundation Founder and Chair, Nick Lee OAM since their school days and knew Jodi well, so has had a strong connection with the Jodi Lee Foundation since its establishment in 2010.
