One of our most valued supporters, Tania Carey, has raised over $20,000 and we can’t thank her enough for her outstanding efforts.
We first met Tania in May last year only months after she had lost her twin sister, Tracey, to bowel cancer at age 41. Since then she has gone above and beyond to help us in our mission to prevent bowel cancer.
Tania and her family have also come on board as the major sponsor of this year’s SA Hiking Challenge. Their family business, Food Processing Equipment, is donating Tracey’s wage to the Foundation and we will be hiking the 80kms in her memory.
Tania has also helped us raise awareness through speaking at events and sharing her deeply personal story with the media for a feature story in SA Weekend last November. If you missed it you can read it here.
She joins 14 others in the $20k club. The club recognises individuals who raised over $20,000 for us – a remarkable achievement.
