This year has started with a bang and is shaping up to be very exciting for the Foundation.
We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Felicity Harley to our Board. Felicity brings extensive knowledge in health communication and strong media and corporate connections. She boasts a wealth of experience within the health media as editor of Women’s Health Magazine and a regular social commentator on Channel 7. We are thrilled to have her onboard.
We have also welcomed our newest member to the team, Taylor Vanloon. As our PR Assistant, Taylor is busy working across social media, public relations and events to help us raise bowel cancer awareness.
Our new website was launched last night and now hosts all of our bowel cancer prevention messages. Thank you to everyone involved in that process. And finally, our office has moved to Norwood. We found a great little spot on The Parade. If you are passing by, pop in and say hello.
As for Nick, he has recently returned from our 2014 Little Black Dress Classic, which was a huge success in Tasmania this year. The team cycled over 850kms from Devonport to Hobart, raising over $145,000 – an amazing achievement. It definitely ranks as one of our best ever events.
Above all, we urge you all to be proactive about bowel cancer prevention – it might just save your life.
