We are delighted to announce Olympic and Commonwealth Games runner, Jessica Trengove, as our official ambassador.

Sadly, Jessica was never able to meet her Nana due to bowel cancer. Jessica’s mission is to help us prevent this from happening to other families, after seeing the devastating effect her Nana’s death had on her own family. She will help by raising awareness of how to reduce bowel cancer risk through screening, knowing the symptoms and leading a healthy lifestyle.

It was this connection, together with her personal values of healthy living drew her to the Foundation. Family history of bowel cancer is one of the key factors when assessing your risk, and Jessica is keen to help spread this message to help educate the wider community.

Jessica’s family experience with bowel cancer and her attitude to managing her own health makes her an ideal role model to help promote our messages around early detection. Her appointment reflects Jodi’s love of running and several of our awareness and fundraising events are fitness based, so there is a natural synergy between Jessica and our cause.
