Since 2011 John Longmire has been the coach of the Sydney Swans.

John’s mother was diagnosed with bowel cancer at age 58. She fought hard but sadly passed away at age 63 in 2012.

If they had their time again, John would have had a conversation around the dinner table with the family to break down the myths around screening and normalise doing the test.

John urges all families to have a conversation about bowel screening and when the kit from the NBCSP arrives in the mail when you turn 50, to make sure you do it!
